Chalkidiki is an unknown paradise in Northern Greece, the best choice for a wedding that everybody will remember. Greece is known for the countless beautiful islands where you can get married. It’s literally so difficult to choose one. Sam and Marianthe never faced that dilemma cause Chalkidiki was their very first decision. Sam is English and Marianthe is half English and half Greek. Organizing Greece for their big day was an one way decision. But why in Chalkidiki ? The answer is simple. They both adore sailing. They both love the sea. Chalkidiki is a virgin paradise with crystal blue beaches, green forests, secret bays and hidden breathtaking view points. Last but not least, it’s not that crowded as other places in Greece. So, they would be able to keep their privacy and enjoy the endless beauty. Perfect combination! After all, their wedding would be the beginning of their big “lifetime dream”. Once they would get married they would travel with their sailing boat along the Atlantic Ocean. Yes, that was the plan and it had to begin perfectly!
Marianthe got prepared at Thalassokipos Hotel among lot of laugher and happy moments with her friends. Sam got prepared at Ekies Resort and he also had the Greek tradition that has to do with the Groom’s shaving by his groomsmen. So funny! With the mood at its highest, Marianthe , surrounded by her beautiful bridesmaids arrived at a small bay nearby, where an olive leaves decorated boat was waiting for her. Totally Greek. At the same time, Sam patiently waited for her. The decorations was plain but beautiful. A white flower decorated arch and few white chairs decorated with olive leaves. To be honest, nothing else is needed when you have this view as your background.
In front of this sea background, Sam and his best friends waited for the bride to come. And there she is! Smiley, happy and so,so confident. Handed by her beloved father, Marianthe arrived at her man. Under the bright sun, with the sea breeze all around us, Sam and Marianthe exchanged their wedding rings. They gave promises of love, faith and commitment. Perfect ending, an epic kiss in front of their beloved families and friends. The wedding party took place at a beach bar nearby. After some emotional speeches of the bride and groom, Sam surprised his girl with a Syrtaki dance. Syrtaki is a Greek, traditional dance in which a few men must follow specific steps , holding each other. Not as easy as it seems. Definitely a highlight of the day! Dancing, laughing, shelfing. Everything flew so amazingly perfect in this absolutely Greek wedding. The couple decided to spend the next day for their photoshoot and they chose wise. With some beautiful pictures at a magical secret bay and the most incredible sunset, the first chapter of their dream had officially been closed. And the best Is yet to come…
